Company Profile

Aqualisa was founded in 1977 to develop an innovation in showering: the bi-metallic thermostatic shower valve. This patented and unique technology is still at the heart of Aqualisa's phenomenal success. Its design means that an Aqualisa shower delivers more water to the shower head, controls the shower temperature accurately and resists limescale build up more effectively than conventional mixer showers.

In May 2001, Aqualisa took another huge step and launched its first Digital shower - a revolution in shower design. Quartz Digital proved to be way ahead of other UK showers in terms of ease of installation, ease of use and design. Whereas a standard shower installation can take two days and require major bathroom excavation, Digital showers can be installed in as little as two hours with no damage to decor. In addition, Digital showers can be operated with one touch, making it ideal for the whole family.
2004 saw the launch of the Axis Collection, including the sleek Axis Digital shower with remote switch and body jets and a full range of solid brass bath and basin taps.

2007 took Digital showering onto another level with the launch of the ilux, Opto Digital and Visage ranges. ilux is Aqualisa's high specification, luxury range which includes a contemporary digital shower packed full of new features such as pre-programmable pre-sets an Eco setting plus it introduces a first for Aqualisa - the Digital Bath controller. Opto Digital was awarded CORGI Product of the Year 2007 and is an entry level digital shower devised specifically for and available exclusively to the installer market while Visage, is its retail sibling.

Today, Aqualisa continues to develop new and exciting products and is currently boasting a turnover of £40 million.
